Privacy Protector is an online data privacy protection project. All traffic is encrypted, fragmented and scattered across network making any trace attempt is virtually impossible – thanks to our unique technology. Even your ISP will not see what websites you visit or files download. Your real IP address is not presented to any of visited websites. PrivacyProtector technology is embeded in our software: RiccoVPN.
2. Is that safe?
Yes, absolutely. Your traffic is secured right on your computer. Privacy Protector is based on dedicated peer-to-peer network, packets transmission is routed at random; we do not use any central servers to handle users traffic. In fact, we do not know anything about our users except license hash number – if someone purchased one. It’s kind like using Internet through Skype network.
3. How can I check it works?
With RiccoVPN disconnected or switched OFF go to demo.privacyprotector.eu: that’s how your PC is seen on Internet, with your real IP address. Now turn RiccoVPN ON or connect and refresh this website. See any difference? Don’t take our work for it; try to locate your IP by any tool you find.
4. NEW: how to use country based IP address?
In “RiccoVPN PLUS Features” section expanded there is “Choose country IP address” – all You have to to is select i.e. “United States” – that’s it! All new connections will be from United States IP address. That means You can try great services from below, unavailable for all outside US until now. Try now Hulu, Pandora, Last.FM with RiccoVPN and US IP enabled.
5. All of my connections are secured?
At first we are focused on standard web connections (http://) at port 80. Later on we will add protection for other kinds of network traffic.
6. Why do I use it?

7. My Internet seems slower..
Please keep in mind network is dynamic and connecting through several countries on-the-fly most likely will be slower than Your normal Internet speed. However bigger the network, faster it gets. We are continously working on our algorithms to make our network faster and more reliable.
8. What do I need?
Min 1GHz CPU, 1GB RAM PC with Internet connection, running Windows XP 32bit SP3, Windows Vista (all versions) 32bit, Windows 7 (all versions) 32 bit, and Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Extended Profile – free download from microsoft.com. Our software works with any WiFi or Ethernet connection. 3G modems are not supported because each uses different network driver.
